Strategy Manager EMEA

About the vacancy

The Strategy Manager EMEA supports a variety of growth & transformation strategic efforts across Driscoll’s European, Middle Eastern, and African (EMEA) Business Unit.  This position is crucial to the Business Unit’s ability to establish and execute its short, medium, and long-term plans in a highly dynamic fresh produce industry.

The individual in this position will collaborate with many cross-functional team members and will gain direct exposure to Driscoll’s end-to-end value chain, and to our many supply regions and markets across EMEA. The individual will also have significant visibility to the senior leadership of the Company, including the head of the EMEA business unit and global leadership.

 This position reports to the Senior Strategy Lead, EMEA.


Strategy Manager (75%): 

  • Supports the end-to-end development of EMEA’s most crucial growth and transformational strategies, including M&A, sustainability, and digital transformation. 
  • Brings together crucial pieces of information such as competitor performance, operational performance, innovations, markets, etc., from various internal and external sources to develop strategic options. This information will also serve as input for regular strategy reviews.
  • Supports the Senior Strategy Lead & EMEA CFO in the development of the annual five-year strategic plan.
  • Supports the development and delivery of weekly/quarterly/annual strategic review presentations for senior management and Global Business Leaders. 
  • Supports the identification and development of key KPIs, processes and governance structures to track BU performance.
  • Provides ongoing strategic thought partnership to Driscoll’s leadership, including the Senior Strategy Lead, EMEA CFO and Head of EMEA (the role is highly collaborative).

Program Manager (25%): 

  • Ensures delivery of short-term and long-term cross functional transformation plans across the EMEA value chain, including supporting EMEA Project Managers.
  • Establishes Program Governance and helps project managers drive transformation (i.e., establishing project standards, setting status update cadences, tracking issues and resolutions).

Candidate profile

Education Requirements

  • Completed University degree preferably in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or any other related business field.


  • At least 4+ years of working experience of which 2+ years has been focused on strategy development (ideally as a Strategy Consultant or within a formal Corporate strategy role). M&A experience a plus.
  • Strong Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel; candidate’s PowerPoint skills must be advanced beyond basic slide making and include experience in storyboard development.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced environment.

Skills & Behaviors

  • Willingness to travel and work in a multicultural environment and with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in written form; capable of writing and delivering regular reports for the business’s leadership, which must be easily digestible, engaging, informative, and convincing.
  • Strong interpersonal skills & a fun team member (high-energy, proactive, a positive can-do attitude, collaborative)
  • Excellent analytical skills to translate raw information into actionable strategies and initiatives and able to perform performance analyses, competitive analyses, market analyses, etc. High attention to detail a must.
  • Passion / interest in food, agriculture and/or sustainability.


  • Language skills – fluency in English Required
  • Travel requirements – 30% of the time
