Responsibilities

The Business Systems Analyst has accountability for implementing and optimizing solutions that improve business process efficiencies and effectiveness. In this role, you are responsible from the discovery phase to the implementation phase for improving our business’s processes. Typical tasks performed by a Business Systems Analyst at Driscoll’s include:

  • Consulting with business subject matter experts to determine the needs to change or improve their system.
  • Capturing, analyzing and prioritizing business requirements based on desired business outcomes, documenting those requirements and refining them into technical action items.
  • Translate and challenge true requirements into underlaying feature requests, align them with alternative technical and process approaches, and work with business and technical teams to develop solutions that meet desired business objectives.
  • Analyze and document new business system requirements, translate and align these requirements to how it impacts the existing business application and integration eco-system.
  • Manage system enhancement and small projects in a timely and cost-effective manner and coordinate the tasks of internal and external resources where necessary to achieve desired results.
  • Using techniques such as sampling, model building, and structured analysis, along with accounting principles, to ensure the solution is efficient, cost-effective, and financially feasible.
  • Overseeing implementation, coordinating tests, and observing initiation of the system to validate performance.
  • Work in collaboration with the Global IS team to understand and adhere to Global IS strategies, standards and policies.
  • Overseeing business process to system knowledge management & documentation and assisting in overall system design from user interface to backend processes for both custom application development and software configuration projects.
  • Partner with the Business and the Global IS Project Team to ensure that projects progress on expected timelines and alert project team leadership to risks and issues related to Information Services agreed scope and deliverables.

You will work in a diverse team, primarily based out of the EMEA HQ in Breda and consists out of team members with different IT domain expertise such as Business System Analysts, Application Delivery, Networking, Service Desk and BI Analytics and Reporting. You will report to the ISBR Director. 

Candidate profile

Becoming a successful Business System Analyst takes a combination of technical skill and business acumen, along with strong communication and interpersonal skills. You are a critical thinker and have the ability to define and solve problems by collecting data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. You have a comprehensive base of business and process knowledge. Furthermore you have:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role as IT Business Analyst
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information and Communication Technology or similar
  • Proven track record and experience with (testing) ERP systems and business process improvement
  • Strong experience with the Microsoft product suite, including Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project and SharePoint required.
  • Requirements Engineering certification such as IREB or similar has a preference.
